Performance reviews are a fundamental part of the workplace as it assesses the quality of an employee's work ethic. Depleting interest is evident in a half-hearted work ethic. The employee refuses to make goals and changes that increase the quality of their performance.
Lack of attentiveness is a major problem. If an employee is not listening to directions, they do not have the intention to advance in their job. The workplace functions from giving and taking. The job must provide motivation and benefits, but in return, the employee should also be reciprocating an optimal performance. Otherwise, the relationship between the employee and their job is moot.
